Vladimir Putin studied German at Saint Petersburg High School. Later, he studied law at the Leningrad State University in 1970 and graduated in 1975. While there, he was required to join the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
In May 1990, Putin was appointed as an advisor on international affairs to the mayor of Leningrad Anatoly Sobchak.
According to Putin's statements in 2018 and 2021, he may have worked as a private taxi driver to earn extra money, according to Wikipedia.
His political career: In 1975, Putin joined the KGB's Foreign Intelligence Service. He served around 15 years in the KGB.
Putin resigns from the KGB and served as the first deputy chairman of the St. Petersburg city government and then chairman of the committee for external relations in 1994.
During the presidency of Boris Yeltsin, he became the first deputy manager and when Yeltsin resigned abruptly on December 31, 1999, Putin was appointed as prime minister by his successor, Dmitry Medvedev until the upcoming elections.
In 2000, Putin is elected president of Russia until 2008. He was re-elected in 2008 to 2012. Again, Putin was re-elected to the presidency in March 2012 to date.
